Fred Brewington Named to City & State’s 2020 Long Island Power 100
City & State named Fred Brewington as the ninth-most powerful Long Islander on the publication’s 2020 Long Island Power 100. The list highlights the most powerful political figures in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, including elected officials, government appointees, business and labor leaders, academics and advocates.
Mr. Brewington made the list for successfully representing a group of Latinos from the Town of Islip who challenged the town’s at-large voting system and his work with Long Island Advocates for Police Accountability, which is looking for criminal justice reform.
